Why some students pass exams without even reading much

why-some-students-score-high-in-exams-without-reading-much

Exams...Exams...Exams... The only thing most students dread when it pertains to going to school.

It gets more complicated when students who struggle to ace their exams see students who you might want to say don't necessarily put in as much effort as they do coming out with the best grades.

How do some students pass exams without studying that much?

Lucky enough for me this was one issue that baffled me during high school and I started asking myself that question. Yes! Lucky, I said. I'm happy I was able to ask my self such question at an early age because it saved me some stress when I got into college.
A worried student might want to ask if these A-students carry some unique techniques inside their school bags or is it all about genes and hormones?

There's a wrong notion that brilliancy and intelligence runs in the bloodstream of people, so therefore if Mr obi was a topper in his school days and had also bagged many academic certificates that the son of Mr obi automatically is same. Now I'm not disagreeing with this in its totality, what I want to bring to your notice is that if the son of Mr obi doesn't study he wouldn't turn out the way his father did.

Need I remind you that there are 4 types of memories that help these set of people remember more.

They are the:
Auditory- put the material you learned in to a chant or rhyme. This way you can remember it easily.

Visual- we recall 99.99% of pictures. The secret to memory is the ability to construct pictures.

Kin-esthetic- the sensations in our body helps us to remember. Convert the information in to a dance or movement.

Digital memory- In order to process learning, simply listen to the meaning of something and translate it in terms of your own experience.

Now if you allow yourself get acquainted with these 4 memories your issue is half way solved.

Let me tell you a little story about how I used to keep asking myself how some of my classmates in high school aced their exams without studying much. I was in the science field in high school. I would pick the popular chemistry text called ababio and would be reading it line by line, not just the ababio but this applied to every other subject I offered then. It would be time for exams, thinking that I've read enough and burnt my midnight candles, I would be sure to come out best after the exams. Low and behold the results would be out and I'm no where near the best 7.

5-great-books-every-young-and-aspiring-entrepreneur-must-read

Books! Books! Books! Back then in high school one of my teachers used to tell me that books are sacred and should be treated with fear and respect, for this singular reason I've refused to tear or throw away anything in print even if I've read its content.

I love reading books, not just any book but highly informative and motivational books. This was what propelled me into sharing 5 books I want every young and aspiring entrepreneur to read this year 2016, but before I proceed I would want to sincerely apologize for not writing recently. "What is one thing the world’s wealthiest people all have in common?"

3 Revealing ways to Drive Back to Back Traffic without SEO

how-to-drive-traffic-to-a-new-blog-without-seo

Creating a blog or building a website isn't quite a challenge, basically anyone could build a blog of their own...  But where the challenge is, is building a successful blog with significant traffic irrespective of your niche and how old your blog is. I've been blogging for quite a number of years now and this is my 3rd year as a blogger and if there's one question that gets to my inbox over 50 times a day it's going to be 'how do I get traffic to my blog for free?' or 'how do I get more readers for my blog?'

Driving back to back traffic to a blog is a major concern for all bloggers, when I say all bloggers I mean both the newbie’s and the well experienced ones in the blogosphere. I for one still searches for great traffic sources out there, the MozEntre blog is less than 3 months old but is averages 1,600+ daily page views without new content updates and 2,500+ daily page views when I update regularly in a week, when I first launched this blog late last year it was having a few 200 - 300 readers daily and it stayed same way for weeks until I discovered 3 great traffic techniques that gradually increased my traffic from a few hundred daily page views to a few thousand daily page views without necessarily implementing any SEO settings.

6 Great Entrepreneurial Skills to learn from Empire's Cookie Lyon

6-great-entrepreneurial-skills-to-learn-from-empires-cookie-lyon

It all started 3 months ago, on a Saturday evening when a friend of mine by name Akinbami Janet came over to my place to pay a visit and after we had exchanged greetings and pleasantries, I went into my kitchen to see what I could offer her. So concerned as to what I would give her I came into the room holding a bottle of coke, not looking towards her direction I placed the coke bottle on the table and then asked her if she would love to take the little cookies I had or she permits to rush downstairs and get her snacks.

I was still trying to pour the remaining cookies into a plate and at the same time waiting for her reply, I kept on saying "Talk now! What would you want to eat?" Low and behold it felt as if I were the only one in the room, my dear friend wasn't even paying attention to me!
I was sort of confused not until I turned back to touch her and noticed she was so glued to her Infinix Smartphone and had earphones plugged into her ears and I was like WTF!

How Kim Kardashian became an Entrepreneur by creating Kimoji

kim-kardashian-is-an-entrepreneur

From making herself so iconic in the famous and well viewed reality TV show #KeepingUpWithKardashians Kim Kardashian took a very smart move coming up with #Kimoji.

What is the definition of Kimoji?

Kimoji is beautiful and famous celebrity Kim Kardashian's emoji app. Cleverly named "Kimoji", the app features more than 250 emoji and sticker designs that reference the reality star's most famous assets and actions, from her butt to her face contouring to her ugly cry face. The app is available on iStore for $1.99 and you're only supposed to download this app if you're 18+ because I can't deny the fact that the app contains explicit graphic contents.

I didn't plan to talk on what the app does or how it crashed Apple's server due to the legions of fans Kim has. But let me just give you a little story of the Kimoji app breaking the Apple app store.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s ‘Kimoji’ app got downloaded so many times that it affected the
Apple’s App Store. The 35-year-old star apologized to the multinational technology company for the
technical issues that occurred due to her app, reported Aceshowbiz .

kim-apologizes-to-apple-inc

Funny thing is that she never knew that such could happen in as much as the app got millions of downloads. At one point, apparently, 9,000 people were downloading the app per second at the same
time. Ridiculous!!! But this is what happens when you are that famous and you give you fans something to play with.
OK... Enough with the Kim Kardashian Kimoji app breaking Apple app store. I'm sure Apple Inc is smart enough so they are currently fixing the issues.

How to make Money as a Teenager in Africa Online

how-to-make-money-online-as-a-teenager-in-africa
Despite the difficult economy down here in Africa especially in Nigeria, there are many ways for a teenager to make money online. All you actually do need is a good business idea and some free time which I’m very sure you have. Every business begins with an idea. Coming up with an idea is one of the coolest feelings in the world. Funny enough it makes you daydream during the day and keeps you awake at night but that idea wasn’t and is always never easy to come by.

I might be referring to you as a kid, child or teenager but I need you to beat your chest and call yourself a young entrepreneur. If you’re 18 years of age or lesser then these tips I’m about to reveal to you are ways I suggest would make you quick cash as a teenager. I’ve been able to compile a list of online and offline jobs you could start doing straight out of your bedroom, if you’re dedicated and work hard it could reasonably earn you $25 to $30 dollars every summer break.

If you haven’t noticed, there is a new trend raising high recently with children and teenagers overseas (Europe and America) making their pocket-money by earning it in their own way. This post would heighten your hopes as an African; it would boost your morale to also start earning your own pocket money as your mates’ overseas do. They don’t have two heads neither do they have three hands they were just created same way as you were created so make up your mind today to start relieving your parents off some bills.

Read my money-making ideas for inspiration, I might just be more focused on how you could make quick, fast money as a teenager online rather than offline. Not that you can’t make quick fast money offline but most of my ideas would be focusing on online jobs. But don’t worry I’ve also got some great ideas for those of you that don’t have 24/7 access to the internet.

I know you’re not yet an adult, but every teenager just as you are always has the craving to gain more in their young age. I had this feeling too. Just as time is changing with new technologies surrounding us, same way kids and teens are also maturing early.

OFFLINE JOBS

Do peoples house hold chores

Nowadays everyone is just so occupied that they don’t have enough time to work on their daily chores. You could do peoples chores and get paid. Many at times, these people are the ones searching to hire kids and teens who are interested to earn some pocket-money. So here is the thing, if you know someone who needs such help, you can go ahead in completing their chores on part-time basis, and earn some bucks. It’s one of the easiest ways to make money as a teenager.

Do personal services

Under personal services I have;

Dry Cleaning

This is one business idea that I’m sure would get you money. Most of the adults in your neighborhood have paid 9am to 5pm jobs. They all want to look good but truth is they are either too busy or too lazy to dry clean their clothes. Why not offer to dry clean their clothes and get paid. You might need to have some tools such as a washing machine, iron and ironing table etc.

Errand, Messenger or Delivery Service

This type of job works best in large cities like Lagos, where there are too many people and then public transport is available. The plan is to always focus on people with busy and tight schedules. You would be able to run errands for these kinds of people. Check out local businesses and offer to delivery by bicycle in town. With extra tips from nice adults you should be racking up more than enough money before school resumes.

ONLINE JOBS

Get paid for searching the web

If you haven’t heard of this then you’ve been out of the loop. Searching various websites and earning money online is the easiest way for you. You can get started with Qmee, it’s a creative an unique idea that rewards users for searching in Yahoo, Bing, Google and many other search engines.
To get started, you need to install an easy add-on to your browser and start searching according to the rules listed on the website.

Get paid for reviewing music

Yes! Every teenager I’ve come across has a problem with always walking down the street with earphones/headphones plugged into their ears. To start with, it’s very wrong but it’s just a clear indication that you love listening to music. Why then can’t you earn money from what you love doing?

MusicXray is one website I know that really pays for listening to and giving feedback about music. I still think you are trying to find it hard to believe but there are actually sites that pay you for listening to people’s music. Another similar site is SliceThePie, you would need to devote most of your time completing reviews for the site. Doing one or two reviews might not appear to pay but if you stay dedicated to it every day, be sure to earn some pretty decent money.

Graphics Design

If your graphic design skills are great then you could make money from it. You need to be good with CorelDraw and Adobe PhotoShop. If you have time you could take advantage of sites like Creative Market and Fiverr that are notable for cheap prices. You could create logos and then sell them; you could create templates and sell and get paid $5 for each.

Ultimately, the essential step to success for teenagers to earn decent money during summer breaks is to stay persistent. If you could just discipline yourself to work for at least eight hours every day   during your summer break then be sure to save and also earn more money that any of your friends looking for ways to get the latest phones or newest dresses.

The Ugly Truth behind Mark Zuckerbergs Donation to Charity

the-ugly-truth-behind-mark-zuckerberg-donation-to-charity

OK first things first, for those of you that haven’t actually heard about the Mark Zuckerberg 99 percent charity donation. Earlier last week Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that he and his wife PriscillaChan would donate 99 percent of their Facebook shares – currently valued at a staggering $45 billion, some £30 billion – to “advancing human potential” and “promoting equality”. To make everything look so wonderful, he posted the announcement next to a picture of his newborn daughter and trust social media, praises for his altruism flooded the internet.

So sweet isn’t he? He’s a very good guy right? He’s so humble and gives back to the society right? You might want to start bragging about which of the richest men in the world would be able to donate up to just 80 percent of their shares right? But here’s the part that might just throw you off balance, what if I told you it was just an undercover to get more bucks into his pocket?

The very moment I got the news that the Zuckerberg’s were planning to give away 99 percent of their shares I was literally shocked! Not only was I shocked at the percentage, I was also shocked on how just one family could have $45 billion. Here’s what I’m driving at, couldn’t they not have given their money away without showing the entire world the letter written to their daughter and the rest of us?

How Alex a school drop out now makes over $300 monthly online

I’ve been talking about entrepreneurship and what it takes to be an entrepreneur on this blog for a while now, in one of my recent blog posts, I also wrote an extensive post on how you could actually be your own boss even if you don’t have a degree or money. But I don’t think I’ve really actually given you any success story at all.
Now this post would highlight one young entrepreneur that is taking giant steps in the entrepreneurship journey.

Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome Alexander Orah a secondary school drop-out who turned a web designer and earns $200-$300 monthly online.
I was able to force him to squeeze out time from his busy schedule just to ask him some questions as to how he was able to make it in a short while, so sit back, relax and enjoy as well as learn from the responses he gave me.
